As Good As Dead Roem Baur I’m not broken hearted, I’m naturally this pale Yes, I’m newly parted, and yes, I’m scared as hell But empty no, I’ve got a soul to squeeze, for my next big show The summer that is coming, bright and full of bloom Young girls keep on shunning, the sound of 30 is awfully gloom Maybe, I’m better off alone But what you said, “in other words, as good as dead” I liked when you said, “in other words, you’re as good as dead” I laughed when you said, “in other words, you’re as good as dead” It feels so good to listen, it feels so good to tell Yes, I’m feeling mental, yes, I’m scared as hell But empty no I’ve got enough imagination, for when I get old But what you said, “in other words, as good as dead” I liked when you said, “in other words, you’re as good as dead” I laughed when you said, “in other words, you’re as good as dead” Can you spare a minute, Just a minute more Can I get your name and number, before you’re dancing off this floor This may sound sentimental, but there’s something in your eyes I can see my own reflection, before we say goodbye When I leave this body, I’m told it’s not that bad The sun is always shining, and the hills, they grow in plaid And I don’t know But it sounds like a pretty good place to go © 2011 Roem Baur Music. The Thief 03:47
The Thief Words and Music by Roem Baur and Liam McCormick Maybe in another life, she whispered soft to me A place inside her heart, so short my love, so brief She steals me like a thief Silence in our gaze, so fleeting, so discreet This moment left undone, untouched here, unrelieved We hold quietly I know that she’s leaving, my hands can’t grip what’s not mine In these eyes, how she knows, I must go Like a thief into the night The things we’ve forgotten, and what we have taken From moments we faced here and now, soft and sweet Such remorse, now that I see I know that I’m leaving, my heart can’t grip what’s not mine In these eyes, now I know, I must go Like a thief into the night Up comes the dawn, a passing breath, a soft goodbye in silence And though we must part, my darling somewhere, you’re mine I know what I’m leaving, my heart has lost what’s not mine In these eyes, we were pleading We moved slow, into the night Somewhere, constant and unwavering Somewhere, I’m holding you in my arms But here, here love I say Goodbye, goodbye... ©2011 Roem Baur Music.

No More Sunsets Roem Baur No more sunsets, no more lullabies No more freckled clouds on endless skies No more holding your face, in my hands, lost in your eyes No more chemistry, no more, could you be? No more love for me No more wondering, how long can we lie Together we belong, as alibis No more holding your breath, when I blow on your neckline No more tapestries, no more, could you be? No more love for me Cause I know, tomorrow, the story that follows You’ll be who you’ll be, you’ll see me for me And I can’t have that again So let’s let friends be friends No more sunsets, no more lullabies No more freckled clouds on endless skies No more holding your face, in my hands, lost in your eyes No more chemistry, no more could you be? No more love for me © Roem Baur Music. [BMI]

Friends Like These Roem Baur and Liam McCormick With friends like these, there’s never a need Always a risk between these sheets Laying cards out on the table without strings Now on our knees, here in between Promises made, but not agreed In the dark, we silent casual casualties Oh, you’re not staying here And darling when you leave there’s such a sting I want you closer now, but here we cannot take back anything Through everything You don’t know what you’ve done to me Call out, ready or not Somewhere out there, I’m in love Someone find my heart You don’t know You don’t know You don’t know what you’ve done to me You don’t know © 2011 Roem Baur Music. Somewhere The Sky Is Blue Roem Baur There are things about your leaving More than your leaving can explain How the falling leaves what the Spring brings In beautiful refrain How your hair still finds my pillow case How my guitar, has a lipstick stain Showered in Autumn, school bells ring the way to Children in uniform, finding each other new I remember that old familiar hue I was dreaming in color When I first found you Tell me you’re shining, tell me you’re shining, tell me you’re shining Somewhere the sky is blue Now finishing my sentences Are chores of mine again I have flashes of brilliance That I share with the wind They’re carried in bottles We bought with our plans Now, empty occasions Candles snuffed out in gin Tell me you’re shining Tell me you’re shining Tell me you love me Baby, tell me you’re shining Tell me you’re shining Tell me you’re shining Tell me you’re shining Somewhere Somewhere the sky is Somewhere Somewhere the sky is Somewhere Somewhere the sky is blue © 2011 Roem Baur Music. about

"The Thief" is the first produced album from San Francisco based songwriter, Roem Baur.

The songs were written in various times and places around the world, from a small house in economically depressed Stockton, California to an apartment in a busy barrio in the metropolis of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

It was recorded over 9 cold February nights in the 100+ year-old sanctuary of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in San Francisco, California by Liam McCormick and John Seeterlin with the string quartet of The Family Crest.

This new "double album" includes a live recording from Yoshi's San Francisco.
